The surge in the United States is so extreme that, once adjusted for population, 10 states are recording more new cases than any country in the world.
Here's the graph showing the 10 US states with more new cases per capita than any country in the world. The 10 states are Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Arizona, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, Idaho, Tennessee.

College students, young people, and people from the surrounding rural and suburban red counties, who come to Athens to work, shop, do business and party at bars, are driving up infection numbers here.
Thankfully, our local school system is going to be all distance/online starting on September 8, pushed back from August 4. Theres no way I would send my child to school.
Stay safe and be well.
Edit: Kemp and the state health department have already been caught monkeying with the COVID19 numbers, graphs and statistics. Kemp is, no doubt, trying to hide the real numbers.

Overall, what's happening leads me to ask: is the United States the stupidest country in the world? We're acting like it.
