As for the NY Post article, the paper is a rag.

(21,873 posts)The article just said that the dinner could land him back in jail.
No statement from DOJ, even on background.
We don't know whether the dinner was cleared with someone before he went and I don't know the exact terms of his release from prison.
The article just seemed like speculation and the NY Post loves to speculate in a way that favors Trumpy.

(9,002 posts)Michael D. Cohen, President Trumps onetime lawyer and fixer, was taken back into federal custody on Thursday after being furloughed from prison in May, federal officials said.
Today, Michael Cohen refused the conditions of his home confinement and as a result, has been returned to a federal Bureau of Prisons facility, the bureau said in a statement.

What a dumb thing for him to do. He knows he is recognizable and lots of people would be glad to report him for anything.

(34,148 posts)NEW YORK President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, was returned to federal prison, weeks after his early release to serve the remainder of his sentence at home because of the coronavirus pandemic, the federal Bureau of Prisons said Thursday.
In a statement to The Associated Press, the Bureau of Prisons said Cohen had "refused the conditions of his home confinement and as a result, has been returned to a BOP facility." His return to prison comes days after the New York Post published photos of him and his wife enjoying an outdoor meal with friends at a restaurant near his Manhattan home.

(54,159 posts)Isn't that place right in his neighborhood? He could've had his wife pick it up, or go incognito himselfshades and face mask. Who would recognize him?
Now it's back to the slammer.

(4,533 posts)The restaurant wasnt the problem. He refused to sign a form agreeing not to publish or speak publically, apparently.
He made the right choice. His book before the election will be good for the public and will earn him millions.
He will be well paid for spending time at camp Fed.
