I think he claimed that because he happened to have been pulled over in a church parking lot.

flyers and tape in his basement. Trashed the shirt he was wearing.

Hiding evidence and getting rid of evidence, in other words. But kept the flyers as souvenirs to relive his crimes.

Looking for a priest on his way to his lawyer, doesn't know why he attacked teens, but is willing to go to counseling to figure it all out...rather than go to prison for his multiple assaults.

How big of him. NOT.

Piece of shit.

(snip)

His attorney said when Brennan left his house shortly after 8 a.m., Friday, riding in the passenger seat of his adult son’s car, neither he, nor his client were aware Brennan was considered a suspect, or was under surveillance.

and yet....
Brennan led police to “a bag hidden under the front porch containing the bike helmet,” according to the charging document. Jezic said his client had discarded the cycling shirt he was wearing in the video.

In Brennan’s basement office, Lopez said police found “the fliers and tape that were taken from the victims.”

Jezic said his client brought police to the bicycle seen in the video, which was about four blocks away, locked behind a former office building.

This one will be interesting to watch because as reported in another DU thread, his brother is thought to be a Trumpster federal judge.

My guess is they are angling for a good plea deal. Or they are trying to seriously contaminate a jury pool by basically giving all the guy's criminal behavior to the press.

and had his bike locked behind an office building 4 blocks from his house.

Sounds like he was trying to not be identified.

Don't fucking let this guy's image be rehabilitated in the media. He did not voluntarily come forward and turn himself in. He made effort to hide evidence and only surrendered himself after police had conducted a search of his home.

This guy is scum and should be treated as such.
