(51,649 posts)and the world for 6 weeks using the ones mentioned on Rachel's shows. No surprises here for me. My eyes are open and I am a realist. When I look at particular countries and states I can see who is likely reporting real numbers and who isn't. It is pretty obvious once you check them over only a short period of time.

(35,383 posts)Details are often reporting cutoffs, with some variation on how probable-COVID deaths are reported.
CDC also includes pneumonia and excess deaths, so if you think corpses are kept off-the-books you can review that data, too. (And even track it back to the state sites.)
I like worldometer's new 3-day running average, but while it makes clear the nice diminishing periodic wave from reporting, part of me also would like a longer average to try to de-hump it entirely.
