We can either let them set us at each other's throats, or we can fight Republicans,
We have never been able to do both.

(17,600 posts)They are real. Relatively small number ((but more than I would call 'very few' sigh); they are getting some hard push back from certain other factions of the Democratic coalition.

(703 posts)This is all Bernies doing! Had he not run this would not be happening! Or had he dropped out after South Carolina!
And I dont get how anyone ANY ONE could even focus on this Biden crap and ignore the freaking dinosaur in the room with Trump!

(10,192 posts)no matter how many women he's sexually abused. This accusation is intended to influence only certain Democratic voters, since they take sexual abuse allegations very seriously, and will be turned off by the mere hint of this sort of "scandal."

(11,605 posts)He's never given any credence to this, and he was probably aware of these allegations before he dropped out but chose to drop out anyway and endorse Biden. That tells me he 1) doesn't believe the allegations and 2) was good enough not to hang on just in case it blew up. Yet you are saying it's his fault for having the nerve to run?

(17,600 posts)That said, I can't say that Sanders supporters are the primary instigators.
But there are some who are DEFINITELY pushing this.
They have expressed the bizarre idea that Biden should drop out (because of this!) and then Bernie would get the nomination by some sort of brokered convention or some shit. (Never mind all the primaries that have been held, you know.)
Yes, these are people I know IRL. I am saddened at some of the faces I see in this crowd. I hope they come to their senses after awhile.
But again, I don't necessarily think this is originating with the Sanders camp.
