Watching people pretend that these demonstrations are spontaneous is proof that we never learn anything from anything.

(58,785 posts)are merely priming the pump. Most of the people turning out after the first day just needed to know where to go, not to be paid.
Once again let's note that, although Trump often tweet-bleated for people to turn out to rescue him, it never happened. Big RW powers determined to hold power are providing the money and professional organization to make the protests happen.
But, while most people there only needed to know when and where, in every location they are a very tiny fraction of the local populaces. And again, many are maintaining self isolation in cars.

(586 posts)they must be encouraged by politicians or organizations to do this. Because if they are really that angry about being told to stay home, why don't they simply disobey the orders? That would not provide the same image as a bunch of angry right wingers gathering in one place but it would allow them to do the thing they are now angry about not being able to do!
It's like when the tea baggers first emerged & everyone said they were a grass roots movement of people opposed to being taxed too much, even though Bush increased their taxes much more than Obama did but for some reason, they didn't mind paying taxes when Bush was in office!!

TEABAGGERS ARE ASTROTURF PUPPETS OF FASCIST CORPORATIONS
I was one lonely counter-protester, let me tell you for sure!
There was about 3 TP chartered busses and I was suprised so many mistook me for an agent of George Soros.
in the belly of the beast kinda like a "will work for food" hunter thompson. days later I learned why the term "teabaggers" should not be used in polite society.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
