In other words, it's the usual circumstance when a Democratic president has to clean up the shitstorm caused by a Republican.

It's like living life on a rollercoaster. You just don't know what's going to happen next. It may be terrifying. It may be a lull in the action before a 90 degree plunge into the abyss. But this rollercoaster will not end in a glide into the home port. You may get to slow down, but the ride continues before you can get off. And at a certain point you want to unsnap the harness and just take your chances.
