(10,749 posts)The model seems to be intended for medical services people to project the need for higher staffing in ERs and ICU. And its hard to argue with that.
But it strikes me as being far more sensible to expect peak tomorrow. The emergency rooms and intensive care unit should be staffed and equipped now so that they are ready When more and more people are screaming in.
That said, I am at a loss as to how they can predict peak. There are just so damn many variables.
