He is not a normal person. He does not hear a plea for help, he hears an opportunity to increase and exercise his power to make himself feel bigger and more important. He is reminded “I have a tool for revenge! I have a tool to extort, to exercise leverage! I hear a tool to make governors beg! I have a tool to reward the most obsequious sycophants in the Trump cult! Everyone will bow down to the great and mighty Oz!”
Find ways around him. Otherwise, be careful what you ask for.
