A u haul and left with 2 other vehicles. Pretty sure they didn't move out as they left a big camper trailer that has to cost over 60k and a bunch of other things. They bugged out for sure.

(32,507 posts)Its a small city and we live on the outskirts of it. Lots of farmland. Seemed a bit like they were over reacting.

(4,533 posts)seem to be hosting ALL their relatives. Normally there is one car and a panel truck there (the guy does some type of mobile repair) but for the last few weeks there have been 2 RVs, a smaller winnebago, 2 cars and a truck pulling a uhaul. All total I would say at least 8-10 adults, 12-16 children (under 6) and about 20 dogs.
I'm not sure how that's better than where they came from, but they don't stay put either. It's a constant stream of people coming and going.

In some cases, bugging out will be a very, very bad idea.

(1,383 posts)My husband and I are moving in 2 weeks, but we actually have until the end of the month to move out of our current house. We also will have a uhaul, but may keep a few things here until everything is organized at the new place. Does that mean we are bugging out?
Not everything is a conspiracy, it just happens that we signed onto a new lease before the lockdown was called, and Im not waiting. I am excited about moving into our new place, and it will give me something to look forward to in this otherwise depressing time.

(14,502 posts)A young couple in a house across from me runs a business out of their large garage supplying setups for large meetings and conferences, a business that obviously crashed. I believe one of the parents is very wealthy.
Suddenly last week they seemed to not be staying in the house and I'm guessing they're off with the wealthy parents at a remote retreat somewhere.

my former co-worker has owned a bug out place for years and an extra vehicle only meant to be driven in a SHTF scenario. He was the odd duck at work... now he's he smart one.
He was paranoid, believed in some conspiracy theories. Didn't call his place a "bug out" place but from description I could tell its purpose. and one day his car was in the shop and he was bummed about putting any miles on this extra vehicle.
