Just saw a nurse, leaving an overnight shift at the hospital, remove a parking ticket from her windshield.
She asked the officer if there was any way he could reverse it. He said no and told her to fight it online.
Not a single thank you.
Cancel fucking meters,
@NYCMayor

(131,010 posts)notably for meters. They supposedly will only ticket for "safety" reasons (double-parking, too close to a fire hydrant, etc).

(25,951 posts)Although the first question that comes to my mind is: Don't they have dedicated staff parking at the hospital?

(26,413 posts)so they probably have enough parking for the current shift with some overlap but if they suddenly are calling in everyone they can to help out then they might have run out of spots in the designated parking area for staff.

(10,845 posts)Could it be that it was parked near the hospital? (we don't know)
Just the fact that what is going on in this country right now, it was a dick move. Normally I wouldn't bat an eye at a post like this, but the times are different. Really different.

(26,413 posts)could and should consider adding an option to let the officer flag tickets in the system for a recommendation to void it and enter the reason why.
