Phoenix Tea Party Patriots' BirtherFest event cancelled due to lack of interest
by David Safier
The cancelled Phoenix Tea Party Patriots' September 22 event wasn't actually called BirtherFest. It was a "Cold Case Posse Event" billed as "an exciting time as the Greater Phoenix Tea Party and Surprise Tea Party present an event to support Sheriff Joe and his investigation into the fraudulent Obama documents."
Sharing star billing: Sheriff Joe Arpaio; LTC Terry Lakin (a birther doctor who refused to deploy to Afghanistan because he doesn't believe Obama was born in the U.S.); and Pat Boone.

(18,479 posts)It makes me sad to see our Country going down hill like this.
This is what Hate Radio and Tea-wanker Propaganda does to people.
Lack of a decent education doesn't help either.

(6,555 posts)Since they couldn't find enough ignorant morons to actually hold the event. Perhaps it means people are slowly starting to wise up

(60,536 posts)Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, a doctor who refused deployment to Afghanistan because he questioned whether President Obama was born in the United States, was dismissed from the Army today and sentenced to six months in military prison for refusing to obey orders.

Although half those bands aren't heavy metal. I still cringe to think of him trying to sing Judas Priest. D:

(35,701 posts)to revive his career by making a heavy metal album. How lame is that?
I forgot about that heavy metal stuff...didn't he put on some kind of biker type costume or chains or something? I remember laughing my head off when I saw it.

(159 posts)This is a state that on a governing level wanted to disqualify the President of the United States from a voter ballot because he is their boogie man under the bed and in their closets. I'm not going to pull too much optimism that Arizona is changing from this story but take glee Terry Lakin, Pat Boone and that future felon Joe Arpaio had a bad day.

Love the I-10 exit sign:
Sure, camp here! What could possibly happen? It's the perfect setting for a bad 1970's "Made for TV" movie. The only thing missing to add to the plot is a nuclear power plant (that's one of two more exits west).

(24,692 posts)A public event featuring Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Pat Boone and other prominent birthers on Sept. 22 at Celebrity Theatre has been cancelled.
Arpaio, a devout proponent of the political faction that doesnt believe President Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen, has enjoyed some support on this issue in the past, mainly stemming from his cold case posse investigation. The Sept. 22 event, which was being organized by local tea party activist Jeff Lichter, was actually called The Greater Phoenix Tea Party Cold Case Posse Event.
The event had been scheduled earlier this summer and was advertised as a fraudulent Obama documents event.
