Ana Alliegro, Central Figure in Latest David Rivera Scandal, Has Gone Missing
*** Notable here is that Rivera, a Cuban American was involved with the questionable house purchase with Sen. Marco Rubio.
One begins to see new reasons that Mitt didn't pick Marco.
Now the blog Eye on Miami has asked readers where could she be? :
The FBI needs help locating a key figure in the political corruption case involving Congressman David Rivera. We ask for our readers' help in suggesting locations where the FBI could find her.

Her mom tells the Herald she hasn't spoken with her daughter but that "she's fine". My God, these people just lie and lie and lie.

She is staying in the same hotel that Alex Penelas stayed in when he was hiding out in Spain from Al Gore during the Presidential Election.

Yes she could be in Havana. Think about it. Double agents are everywhere even Rivera and Rubio could be in on it. Our own Manchurian candidates.

The really big thieves always get away. Often they get promoted. If I were her Ana would cut the best deal I could. That cash came from somewhere. If she was smart, she kept a way to prove Rivera's fingerprints on it. What's that worth to the feds and her is the question. It also depends on who is elected in November. This is where Obama really screwed up. He didn't use the law and the full power of the FBI to ferret out and prosecute the big Bush thieves. If Romney wins, all this Rivera stuff just disappears in smoke. He knows there's a good chance this happens.

Using a private Fanjul plane to fly somewhere no one would look, like California? She couldn't leave the Country unless she used a fake passport, and that's quite possible, so that's not even ruled out!

Marco Rubio Stands By His Friend But At What Cost?
From his first days on the political scene, Sen. Marco Rubio has never strayed far from close friend and colleague, Rep. David Rivera. The men first met while volunteering for then Florida State Senator Lincoln Diaz-Balarts first congressional campaign in 1992. A few years later, Rivera hired Rubio out of law school in Miami to work on Bob Doles doomed presidential bid.
By 2002, they were colleagues in the Florida state house and when Rubio was elected speaker in 2006, Rivera took up as his top lieutenant. They rode into Washington together on the crest of a powerful GOP midterm wave in 2010, Rubio as a senator, Rivera as the new house representative from Floridas 25th district.
Today, Rubio is one of the Republicans partys most buzzed-about young stars and an early favorite to run alongside presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in the coming general election. Despite repeated statements that he wont be the vice president, operatives in both parties told ABC News they believe Rubio is seeking the bid.
He wants it, one Democratic strategist said. He can say what he wants, but hes doing all the things that people who want to be the running mate do. Hes going to South Carolina [to speak before state party bigwigs at their annual Silver Elephant dinner] and working on some Republican version of the Dream Act.

Florida congressman under investigation for alleged shadow campaign
Paul Ryan may not have provided much of a bump to Mitt Romneys presidential campaign anywhere but in Wisconsin, but as the headlines popped up in South Florida late Wednesday, you know hes gotta be feeling some relief that he didnt go with Sen. Marco Rubio.
What, you cant find anything about Rubio thats particularly scandalous in the last few days? Look closely: Rubios BFF David Rivera, the Cuban-American GOP congressman from South Florida, provoked this lead graf on the Miami Herald's front page Wednesday morning:
Fueled with $43,000 in secret money, Republican Rep. David Rivera helped run a shadow campaign that might have broken federal laws in last weeks Democratic primary against his political nemesis Joe Garcia, according to campaign sources and finance records.
Thats right: It appears that Rivera for whom Rubio held a fundraiser as late as May 16 of this year, and with whom he co-owned a house that went into foreclosure actually set up a sham Dem primary opponent to Garcia. Garcia is a former director of the Cuban-American National Foundation and an Obama appointee to the department of Energy whom Rivera, naturally, accuses of being a "henchman" for Havana.
By late Wednesday, The Herald had a front page story announcing that Rivera and his fake Dem were both the targets of Miami-Dade and federal investigations.

(39,313 posts)5. I'm guessing that Ana was pressured and coached by Rivera
when he visited her after her subpoena -- that is witness tampering I think.
Who knows what will be revealed as this unwinds, maybe Rubio's credit card is involved!
Well we can always dream. I'm happy with a Rivera fall - he was probably going to lose
to Joe Garcia who is a moderate but you never know with the famous "absentee ballots"
trick they use!
