It's disgusting and most never even realize what they are doing.

I also see people lick their fingers a lot while counting money or going through papers.

I guess a lot of people would call me a germaphobe. I consider myself "careful". I don't at all have a problem with touching dirty things, or doing dirty jobs, but I'm a hand-washer, and I make a very conscious effort to not touch my face without correctly washing my hands first.

At the same time, you won't see me wiping down my grocery cart with one of those wipes. I think it's pretty much pointless, because as soon as you take an item off of the shelf, you've re-contaminated your hands with whatever the stocker had on their hands.

So I do what I can. I wash my hands correctly and at the appropriate time.

And now I've probably jinxed myself and will get coronavirus. So my other line of defense is to try to be as healthy as I can, so that if I do get it I hopefully will be able to recover.
