Twitter threads - awful to read.

Small rant and annoyance.

Reading a twitter thread is about as much fun as getting ones teeth cleaned. Perhaps I'm the only one, but if someone is going to write something lengthy Twitter isn't useful to those of us who want ideas presented in a coherent fashion. It's sound bite opinion writing.

Replied that one time and haven't posted since. I went in a couple of times reading things, but some of the responses were so awful - I haven't picked it back up in months and don't intend to.

It requires a very thick skin to wade into the Twitter-sewer, and not everyone on DU can handle it. Those who can, such as yourself, do a great service for the rest of us.

9. I get that. But aren't there cases where something appears on Twitter and then has to walked back?

And then, it's too late, because the tweet has become part of the narrative.

It would be interesting to see how much Twitter has become part of the problem of spreading disinformation when something like that happens.

I read comments from people with reading disabilities saying that twitter threads were easier for them to read than a longer article with longer paragraphs.

So they're good for some of us and not so much for others, apparently.
