It is also interesting that he was able to stand against the onslaught of threats and intimidation that has cowed his colleagues into lockstep. This has me thinking that he hasn't fallen victim to kompromat, and threats of cutting funding to his campaign can be replenished by another might--the Mormon Church, not to mention his very wealthy circle of friends and business connections. So--no sleazy tapes, no mistresses or porn stars needing to be paid off, no drug use, no embarrassing e-mails or anything other than what we have already learned about him during his run against President Obama and he is already very wealthy so no need to make deals of our country to fatten his portfolio.
I have never liked the guy much, but I am impressed and appreciative. Of course, he still has serious ambition, so maybe he might have something up his sleeve to run for President again as a Republican. Claiming he stands out from all the others couldn't hurt.
There may be a possibility that he tells them all how much they blow and change his party affiliation to an "I" as Rep. Amash already has.
We shall see, but letting him know we noticed what he did and appreciate it couldn't hurt.
