Franklin Graham's UK tour is in shambles after venues in six cities bar him from appearing

https://deadstate.org/franklin-grahams-uk-tour-is-in-shambles-after-venues-in-six-cities-bar-him-from-appearing/

Homophobic televangelist Franklin Graham was hoping to embark on a speaking tour at church venues across the UK later this year, but one by one those venues are canceling his appearances as word spreads about his hate-filled anti-LGBTQ rhetoric.

At first, venues in Liverpool and London canceled Graham’s appearances, and now arenas in Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Newport have also been dropped, PinkNews reports. Another event in Milton Keynes is set to drop him as well.

A spokesperson for the Birmingham venue confirmed that Graham’s June 17 appearance has been canceled and the ICC Wales event in Newport, originally scheduled for June 14, has also been canceled.

“Opposition to this event has come from numerous sources, and from across the community” a spokesperson for ICC Wales noted.

THE Franklin Graham can't even organise an event in Milton Keynes? I know I'm ragging on Milton Keynes but it isn't exactly the most prestigious place in the UK, but if he can't even organise his event in MK he might as well pack his bags and go home.

Well... a little bit. For all its faults it is home to a truly great music venue - The Stables (although I'm sure Dame Cleo Laine and her gang wouldn't have that arsehole Graham on the premises).

When rascals claim they are speaking for God, God always has the last word.

That same principle works for atheists—when assholes claim to speak for all of us, the universe has the last word.

Franklin Graham is a slave of his fears, not the master of his fears. Selling fear in others is a dead end, because once everybody is scared enough of the other side they start dealing with the other side instead of the real problem—themselves.

like they did Twitler. As much as I love my house, my starting to think I’d be a lot happier in a different zip code. I went out Friday night and two “friends”, both engineers so not completely stupid ended up yelling at me over politics. One has no idea how impeachment works and the other got pissed off because I have more time to be well informed. He completely refused to admit the only news he gets is at the bar watching FOX.

Work with mostly engineers, many of them with masters or higher, and it is difficult to find some that are even moderate. I have stopped talking politics at work especially since my old boss retired (he is more liberal than I am). They do come to me with factual questions. I explained to them how Social Security works, and tried to make then understand that we are the suckers when compared to those making over $133K or so who no longer have to contribute that amount to SS. With the sliding scale of benefits, it means those like us carry the program on our backs. Our CEO barely lifts a finger in comparison.

... in fact, I is one!

Almost all of them, especially the ones that speak up about politics, are liberal Democrats and Trump opponents.

One of my coworkers (engineer) signed up for Twitter for the sole purpose of talking back to Twitler. He regularly updates us on his latest ban / time out.

The ones who are (or, hopefully, were) Trump supporters tend keep quite about it. There are a few known Trump supporters, but manly from the support staff - not the engineers. They keep their heads down.

Just to give you an idea, we do aerospace and a fair amount of national security work. A significant number of our engineers are veterans.

We also have internship programs specifically for students at HBCU. We have an "Allies in the Workplace" program to support LGBT employees. We have a diversity committee that sponsors events throughout the year. And we have a very, very tough policy against sexual harassment. (As a supervisor, I know of two assholes who were fired for this sort of behavior.)

You may know the story about the mechanical engineer, the electrical engineer, the energy engineer, and the software engineer, who were out on a car ride on a lovely day with all the windows down, when the car suddenly stopped running. The energy engineer checks the gas tank, the electrical engineer the alternator, the mechanical engineer that all the parts are in place. The software engineer says, "We could try closing all the windows and then opening them up again."

No, Roy Rolling, he's a 'slave' to the god of his idolatry: the mighty dollar. He has made personal fortune off the supposed worshipers of Jesus Christ, whose actual worship is for slick holy rollers that promise them personal 'salvation' forever from the moment they simply come forward and 'repent' and pledge themselves to God. They are being sold a bill of goods, and they get on the hook to these snake oil salesmen (and women) who continue to bilk them on the promise that, no matter what they ever do as a human being going forward (up to and including homicide), that they will never face the wrath of an eternal God, who will be waiting to punish them for eternity for their wrongdoing. They and the same so-called senators who voted to let tRump - the damned and infernal thing that he is - skate free from his many and several egregious crimes against the United States and mankind alike, are all in the same basket of (damned) deplorables.

After all, as reported by the Washington Times, Mango Mussolini had this to say:

“I also want to thank Franklin Graham because he has been so instrumental in everything we are doing, such an incredible job in so many ways.."

Franklin's net worth has been variously estimated in the millions. Must be saving if for "the least of these", along with Dollar, Meyer, Robertson, the Hagees, Osteen and the rest of the grifters.

Franklin should hit the road again and tour with Lindsey G. They'd be billed as the "Graham Crackers", and in fine cracker form, cue them both up for dunking -- in their own side-by-side dairy dunk tanks (I'm sure Devin Nunes' cow would happily supply the milk)!
