(15,292 posts)defections, then there would only be 2 on the theory that no one wanted to be the 51st vote or the 50th vote. I don't think getting the pass to vote yes on witnesses helps Collins, though, because now it's obvious her "aye" vote was going to be meaningless.

(15,292 posts)beat her in the primary and she had to run as a write-in - and won. She could easily serve as an I just like Sanders and King do. She is not beholden to McConnell or any other GOP'r one bit. She is to Alaska as the Casey's are to Pennsylvania.

(33,439 posts)She (& Lame-ar) admit the House's case is accurate and Trump did it. Witnesses aren't necessary to prove anything except the outrageousness of the Abuse of Power.
Which they don't think rises to the level of removal.

(1,737 posts)By voting no on witnesses, you have failed. You Lisa. You've failed the voters in Alaska. You have failed your country.
Even if the majority of Senators fail, you didn't have to follow suit. You could have chosen the brave route and take a stand against what you claim to believe is unfairness, but you chose to be a coward.

Is this the statement you're going to run on next time?
