However, things can definitely get worse. If that one is reelected, I'd rather live in a hut in my training village in Peace Corps than be an American. I hope they take me back.

It will happen no matter the outcome of the 2020 election. It remains to be seen that Trump will vacate office win or lose.

The constitution dictates that at noon on Inauguration Day, the president-elect becomes the president. Trump becomes a private citizen and if he chooses not to leave, he will be forcibly removed by the Secret Service, who are loyal to the office of the presidency.

Dictators do not follow the Constitution. But, you know this. Better to ask yourself what the military branches will do. Having people with weapons who are willing to shoot YOU are what's going to keep Trump in power. That's what it's coming to...

If I were a General, I would order my troops to be instructed in the Constitution. After all. that's what we swore to defend. Trump, himself, isn't going to take his tiny hands and shoot the lot of us. He'll count on the Generals to do it. And remember, he wouldn't go to war with them. Just saying. But, he won't find out until he orders them to shoot the Secret Service whether they will or won't do it.

IF we win, and IF we can get him out, he WILL run a very powerful and disruptive "resistance" and win the nomination for 2024 if we can't find the will and courage to hold him accountable for his endless array of illegal actions.

Cable news overrun with Magats. They talked about this on Real Time. I would bet the house on it, and the next president and those around them better be savvy as hell.

especially with Parnas' revelations. When it comes to this evils administration, that must focus on it.

Republicans don't care about truths, just money and power any means necessary. As Nancy P quoted . . .

"He will impeach himself" done. Now for removal.

More ugly information is forthcoming.

An emboldened lunatic who will no longer be bound by the rule of law. He will be able to do pretty much what ever he wants.

That seems like a good sign. But as a DUer up this thread said, I worry about if Trump is re-elected. That would put Ukraine in a terrible bind, because their leaders don't currently seem to be on board with the Trump administration. Four more years of Trump could seriously change things.

let's have their President come and testify against Trump. He'd make a good witness. They said he wasn't afraid...I think he was...but he made some deal with Russia since then. Let him now come and tell the American people all about Donnie Two Scoops' quid pro quo.
