He sold Hawk surface to air missies (with a range of around 50 miles) and TOW anti-tank missiles (with a range of around 2 miles). The base in Iraq struck by the Iranians was 230 miles from Iran.

That's not to say that North isn't vermin. He is. Just noting that the ballistic missiles that Iran launched were't the type of missiles involved int the Iran-Contra sales.
