Warning: Your Christmas ham is likely contaminated.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/inspectors-warn-unsafe-pork-could-make-its-way-consumers-under-n1097676
Inspectors warn unsafe pork could make its way to consumers under Trump rule change He changed this rule a week ago. He's reducing the number of inspectors and how long food has to be inspected at 90% of all pork processing plants. In light of how food recalls are getting more common, our entire food supply is becoming dangerous to eat. How can we fight this? Anyone have advice on how to get better quality food?

2. I did a search for local family pork and the name of my state
There are lots of family organic farms here. But I suppose that they're inspected under the same USDA inspection laws.

3. The best way to change this? Vote. Vote every election, take ...
a van full of people who can't get out otherwise with you, vote every election, every two years and all special elections.
Be every bit as serious as they have. They knew something a lot of us didn't, voting works, and every single vote is important. |

5. Buying Kosher food might ensure it's inspected.
Kosher ham, however, might be hard to find.
Cheers. And, l'chaim. ![]() |

6. Yeah, I'm Jewish but don't follow Kashrut.
Was wondering if Kosher foods, particularly meats might be better quality/less contaminated.

7. Hams take a while to process
so a ham you eat this week is probably not affected. Going forward, though - what is it about this administration wanting to take us back to the pre-FDA days of the late 19th century?

8. No danger of that here
Due to cholesterol issues, I haven't eaten ham in over 30 years.
