I deleted them retweeted the Secretary of Navys letter because its more accurate to describe it as an acknowledgement of termination letter (and NOT resignation letter) apologies

(53,061 posts)Secretary of Defense really jumped on the honorable man in order to do the bidding of the corrupt, greedy, Russophile in the WH, didn't he? "See, he said, see Mr. President, Sir? See what I will do to spare you the negative reaction to your very, very, very good decision to pardon a man who only really murdered once or twice, and enemy combatants at that. I agree, Mr. President, Sir, Sir I agree that this great nation of yours need to show how rough and tough and lawless it can be when it suits the mood!"
Screw them all, every last one of them. There are no good centaurs or Republicans. Vote them all out of office, deprive them all of the wealth they seek sucking at the public teat, hold them up -- every goddamned on of them -- to public scorn and loathing! (Sounds almost like a prayer, doesn't it? Well, if there were a god and It were interested in justice and fairness, that god would listen and listen hard to my prayer and take some -- I'll say it -- goddam action to actually chastise and punish the palpable evil that is the GOP.)

(8,820 posts)Now Trump can go with one of his chosen pussies. Putin's loving this, sitting in front of his TV munching borsh flavors popcorn.
I gotta wonder how the rank and file Military are going to view all this.................
There are sooo many Trump Hummers in the military ranks, they will probably all gather around and yell "F***ing A"............
That alone should be one of this nation's greatest fears...........

(7,398 posts)Trump himself is not capable of devising, but only implementing. This is basically the same thing that has been done with every branch of government, sciences, social relationships, justice.... Congress, Judicial, scientific communities, environmental communities, international alliances and now the military. Divide and conquer one piece at a time. Chip away.
It began with the media.
The enforcement step is now in effect.
So...
.who is really calling the shots is the big question.
I used to think this was tin foil hat stuff. I wonder.

(9,291 posts)Its stupid crap like this that can turn the military against him. He has no business interfering with the UCMJ. Trump had plenty of chances to join the military, but he was too precious.
Another dumb thing hes done.

(2,608 posts)They read the Secretary of the Navys letter to the pResident. He used the same verbiage that General Mattis used. Instead of resignation, he used termination

(2,945 posts)they'd decided to keeps hands off and he was free to discipline without WH/Trump interference. It was a HP article, I believe. And now he's been asked for his resignation by the WH?

(5,969 posts)In another story it sounded as if he wanted to make a secret deal so that the one who committed the war crimes to still be able to serve or something like this and by that circumventing the process himself if I'm not mixing up stories. In that story it sounded that he was fired because of these secret dealings.

(21,568 posts)drumpf is doing this for his frothing mouth breathing base who will say "look at him protecting a solider! All he did was pose with thr body of an animal anyway!"
and his base will of course lap it up... while in reality drumpf is a guy who has never served telling the military how to handle its business, which is a GREAT dishonor to the people in uniform.
it remains to be seen how the military will view this but i find it incredibly ironic that we are actually at the point now where drumpf is disrespecting the military with the goal of getting his base to believe he loves it.
EVERYTHING is upside down, backwards, and inside out in this regime............ i can hardly keep up with the chaos they sew.
