(1,660 posts)...Sondland gone rogue.
But the thing is this: Trump still had to sign off on the aid money. If he were about right, he would done so in APRIL, not September (after their scheme was exposed).

(40,234 posts)Dr. Hill: That is when she figured out that Sondland, Mulvaney, Pompeo were involved in a political goal and domestic politics rather than working on issues of national security.
Well....
crickets
(25,987 posts)She just nailed Sondland as domestic politics errand boy. Explained no wonder she couldn't get together with him re foreign policy - that's not what Sondland was there for.

She is REALLY REALLY clarifying the misinterpretation of her views about Vindman - notably the partisanship.

Charlie, she is underscoring the point that Sondland had been ordered to stray away from national security and foreign policy to undertake a political errand. And as Sondland himself testified, it was at the hands of people at the most senior levels of government, right on up to the president.

This, in a nutshell, is the whole conflict that has been animating these hearings.
Hill is really running over the Republicans now.

I agree Nick. She is nailing it and she is not letting the Republicans interrupt her.

Hill is now undercutting another point Republicans have been making. She says Tim Morrison misrepresented concerns he said she had about Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a key witness.
1:43 PM ET
Katie RogersKatie RogersWhite House Correspondent
It should be noted that Hill has talked about her anger and discomfort with Sondland during that time period, but she is not rattled as she is relaying all of this. If Republicans mightve hoped to weaponize the anger she is talking about, she is not showing it here.
madaboutharry
(40,234 posts)She is stating that Lt. Col. Vindman is so dedicated to doing the right thing that he wasn't suited for politics!
BumRushDaShow
(129,662 posts)must have been wanting to blow the whistle on the bullshit "2 paths" earlier than the rest so they were trying to hold him back - until they realized that they had had it with the Sondland/Ghoul show too.

crickets
(25,987 posts)Woohoo! Good for her slapping down any attempt to question the loyalty of any of the witnesses just because they are immigrants. She is stellar.
BumRushDaShow
(129,662 posts)Bolton asked her to go down to Sondland's "meeting" to find out what was going on. Hill said she was alarmed. She came in while Vindman and Sondland were discussing the point of the meeting. Perry had already left. Sondland said "they 'had a deal' for the meeting IF the Ukrainians opened up the Burisma investigations".
Vindman had protested that "they weren't allowed to be involved in this". She said she told Sondland they needed to go through the regular process - all in front of the Ukrainians.
Roland99
(53,342 posts)Schiff cautioned the witnesses about when theyre asked if they are aware of this or that fact because it may not be a a real fact. He offered a specific correction: Castor had just stated that Jennifer Williams (an aide to Vice President Pence) testified that Pence canceled his trip to Ukraine for Zelenskys inauguration because he needed to go to Canada, but in reality Williams instead testified that Pence canceled his trip because Trump told him to, Schiff said.
Delphinus
(11,842 posts)part of that exchange. I think it was Castor asking Hill about this but had not heard this from Schiff (just tuning in). How can they lie like this?
AND, just turned on the TV to hear Gym Jordan yelling at Holmes, about him being the star witness. I turned it off. I will not listen to him yell at people.
