Jim "Jacketoff" Jordan has clearly spent so much time with his head buried in the sand that he never saw The Caine Mutiny. Luckily Vindeman and his lawyer had, and were prepared.
In The Caine Mutiny, paranoid Queeg accuses Lt. Maryk of being inefficient and disloyal. Maryk's defense attorney quickly pulls out the fitness report that Queeg had written on Maryk just before the incident. Queeg was forced to read the glowing fitness report he'd just given him:
Queeg: "This officer has improved in performance. Hes consistently loyal, courageous and efficient. Hes recommended for transfer to the regular Navy."
Jacketoff Jordan tried the same thing, claiming that Lt. Col. Vindeman's superior, Fiona Hill, the temporary head of the NSA had questioned his judgement.
Vindeman was prepared for that question. Faster than Jim Jordan could turn his back on a wrestler being molested in the shower, Vindeman pulled out the fitness report Fiona Hill had written for him just before the July phone call.
Here's Fiona Hill's REAL opinion of Vindeman.
Lt. Col. Vindeman: "'Alex is a top 1% military officer and the best Army officer I have worked with in my 15 years of government service. He is brilliant, unflappable, and exercises excellent judgment...Exemplary during numerous visits'...I think you get the idea.
Turning to Morrison, Vindman added, I cant say why Mr. Morrison questioned my judgment. We had only recently started working together."
I think we all know why. Morrison was trying to throw Vindman under the bus, to protect that bloated orange banana slug that's impersonating a President.
Look at Jordan's face, about five seconds after Vindeman starts reading Hill's evaluation. It's a thing of BEAUTY!
"OH SHIT! How am I going to get out of THIS!? Let's see, what other stuff have I got here...um..YEAH, I'll see if I can fluster him into outing the whistleblower again..."

(67,782 posts)...."Your not a JAG Officer, are you?" But his voice trailed off toward the end of "Officer", my immediate impression was he was asking "You're not a Jag Off..... are you?" I wonder if anyone else caught that?

By the way, the colonel is combat infantry. He can spot trouble before it gets up in the morning.

I played LT Maryk in a local production of "The Caine Mutiny Court Martial" about twenty-five years ago, so it resonated right away.
