Live updates: Trump says he will 'strongly consider' testifying in writing in impeachment probe

BREAKING: President Trump responded to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who said: “The president could come right before the committee and talk, speak all the truth that he wants if he wants.”

Trump tweeted Monday morning: "She also said I could do it in writing. Even though I did nothing wrong, and don’t like giving credibility to this No Due Process Hoax, I like the idea & will, in order to get Congress focused again, strongly consider it!"

President Trump leveled fresh attacks Monday against Democrats leading the impeachment inquiry at the outset of a week in which eight current and former officials are scheduled to publicly testify about his controversial actions regarding Ukraine.

In morning tweets, Trump claimed the rules of the inquiry had been “rigged” by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who has described Trump’s conduct as “bribery,” and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.), who has summoned four witnesses to appear before his panel on Tuesday alone.

I mean, seriously....since the DoJ, as a rule, declines to indict a sitting President, an impeachment inquiry is the only “due process” afforded him.

Poor little jackass....he’s shat on the Constitution from Day One, and yet doesn’t realize it’s the only thing keeping him out of prison right now...

Because if he lies in written testimony, that's another article of impeachment and his lawyers will talk him out of it.

"Mr. Trump, did you try to exert pressure on the president of Ukraine to furnish detracting information on the Biden family?"

If it's Trump tweeting, the answer will look something like this:

"Not at all. I have witnesses, too. The president of Nambia was having covfefe with me, and we were watching berders of paradise while all this was going on."
