He can debate himself on

choice
gay rights
the individual mandate
global warming

because he has taken both sides on those issues.

He comes off as condescending and patronizing, very unlikeable.

BTW, when he debated Ted Kennedy in 1994 Ted Kennedy said to him "you're not pro-choice, you're not anti-choice, you're multiple choice."
