The organizers of the March for Trump claim a bus line tried to kill their rally by not showing up. But the bus company says it was never paid thousands of dollars.https://www.thedailybeast.com/us-coachways-charter-bus-company-did-not-sabotage-the-march-for-trump?ref=author

A couple hundred Donald Trump fans rallied outside Congress on Thursday for the March for Trump, an event meant to oppose House Democrats impeachment investigation. According to organizers, though, there would have been hundreds more people shouting stop the coup in Washingtons streets if not for a liberal plot against their buses. Thats because, as would-be rally attendees gathered across the East Coast for the US Coachways buses that the organizer had promised would take them to Washington, those buses never showed. The no-shows provoked a wave of anger, accusations that the deep state had colluded to stop a show of Trump support in Washington, and negative reviews aimed at US Coachways.
But US Coachways has a simpler explanation for what happenedit was never paid for the requested buses due to a series of declined credit card payments. We want to get people down there, Joseph Heap, US Coachways chief marketing officer, told The Daily Beast. But unfortunately, payment is required.
For those who made it to the rally, the missing buses were a subject of anger, consternation, and conspiracies. Rally speaker and One America News personality Jack Posobiec compared the bus issue to social media companies deplatforming conservatives.
I hear there was a buses issue today, Posobiec said. The company refused to work with folks.
And Women for America First, the organizing group, quickly blasted the bus company in a press release, accusing US Coachways of stopping hundreds of Americans from exercising their first amendment rights.
Last night, less than two hours before our first chartered buses were supposed to leave for DC, we were informed that the bus company was cancelling all of our busesincluding ones that were fully paid for, the statement read. This move left hundreds of grassroots activists stranded and unable to attend the Anti-Impeachment rally today in front of the Capitol. We are incredibly disappointed at US Coachways, their actions prevented hundreds of Americans from exercising their first amendment rights and to have their voices heard.
For those who couldnt make it because of the absent buses, the vitriol was even more direct. Disappointed Trump fans took to social media and business review sites to vent their frustrations at the company.
Deep state is diabolical, tweeted one rallygoer. Another asked Fox News host Tucker Carlson to investigate.

Medicare, like Social Security, works. Republicans want to privatize both of them. We have to stop them and instead, expand both.

But why, specifically, is he good for American women, I wanted to know. Was there a woman who believes the Equal Rights Amendment is an old idea thats no longer relevant? Or a woman who believes it was Melania Trump who brought family values and Christmas back to the White House? Or a military mom who is so glad funding for military child care will instead be used to build the wall? Trump wants a wall, and military kids are going to pay for it. ...
Maybe, because were face-to-face and not anonymous and online, I could get to the bottom of this. But in most cases..., when I asked the women they responded with an attack on the media or the elected officials running the impeachment inquiry. ... Same with the speakers, who talked about the deep state, about conspiracy theories and dont worry, they didnt forget Hillary Clintons emails.
Each of the speakers looked upon the small crowd and marveled at its spirit. The rallys size, though? There would be a lot more of us here if that didnt happen, a woman who drove in from Chantilly, Va., told me. What happened? A conspiracy, natch. ... From bus stations in Pennsylvania to a Walmart parking lot in North Carolina, Trump supporters said they were left in the cold and dark early Thursday, waiting for buses that didnt show up. The president they think they have a man who will unite our country and treat everyone with respect he hasnt shown up, either.

(58,785 posts)They were always few and are DROPPING in number. The 116th GOP house caucus has 13 women , even fewer than last session as the Republican leadership, joined with the religious right, works to stuff women's rights and equality back in the traditional women's roles bottle.
Btw, the 13 survivors are angry at the Republican male attitudes toward them. Their caucuses are hostile territory for embattled female Republican politicians. Some have been deciding not to run for reelection it's so bad.

(3,131 posts)My favorite it some grifter (Jr or Eric) set up a web site and charged 20 bucks a person for a bus ticket Then turned around and tried to stiff the bus company.
Or mom found out what her kid in the basement was up to and canceled her card.
Or the company couldnt take foreign credit cards.
We already know it was because the credit card was refused so it wasnt because the bus didnt have enough storage space for all the scooters but l would like to know how they were going to handle that. 50 scooter tied to the roof would be some spectacle especially the first overpass they came to.

(2,966 posts)They botched their protest by their own incompetence and disorganization, but they believe others are responsible. Yet, they refuse to change that belief after being shown facts that objectively disprove their original belief.
A majority of the Republican base exhibits this perverse trait, and that base is armed and dangerous.
They owned all three branches of national government for two years, and have gutted it from the inside, and yet they still believe that there's some liberal deep state imposing it's will on them. The crazy is boundless.
We're fucked like a duck. We'll have take our fight for progressive principles down to the state level now.
I propose all libs voluntarily move west and let's create a coalition of a few states that will implement intelligent government together. We'd have a multi-state compact of sorts where each of the states' laws are mutually recognized and complimentary. Washington, California and Oregon are naturals for this. We need to move here and create super-majorities of non-conservatives everywhere.
Arizona, Utah and Idaho would stay conservative and could be a nearby place that cons could move to after we take over the Pacific coast. We could have a financial incentive program for cons to use to bail out out and move east.
