Anti-feminist Phyllis Schlafly has taken to her blog at the website of the Eagle Forum the anti-LGBT organization that she founded in 1972 to call for the resignation of Republican political operative Karl Rove over remarks he made about U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO). Thursday morning at a fundraiser for his super PAC, American Crossroads, Rove reportedly said of Akin, whose remarks on rape and pregnancy have made him notorious in recent weeks, We should sink Todd Akin. If hes found mysteriously murdered, dont look for my whereabouts!
Schlafly has reacted furiously to Roves statement, calling it incredibly offensive and dangerous.
Karl Rove is an embarrassment to the Republican Party, she wrote. We dont want any more of his advice in secret briefings or publicly on Fox News. Missourians dont want politicians from other states telling us who to run for the Senate.

(13,772 posts)she was an anachronism then.
She was telling women they shouldn't be fighting for Equal Rights in the workplace, they should stay home and care for their children
Of course, she was traveling across the country, speaking about how women should stay at home caring for children while she was NOT practicing what she taught. Don't know who was taking care of her home and her children, but it certainly wasn't her.
That was the first time I became aware of conservative hypocrisy.
I can hardly believe she's still out and ranting about conservative stuff.
Or is this her zombie or mummy speaking?
