Does anyone in the House or Senate believe he is a threat to national security?
If Democrats and Republicans cannot come together on an issue of national security, then we are in a very bad situation.
I believe most knowledgeable people in this country believe he is a threat to our national security.
Yet, they do nothing. Why?
How will they explain that to their children and their grandchildren? What will they say?

(21,319 posts)Everytime I go overseas I get asked what happened to America? Has your country gone insane electing this monster? My sister in law is a flight attendant who does international flights and she has been attacked and cornered so many times she tells people she is Canadian.
And no one trusts the USA anyone and thinks we are now controlled by Russia and an idiot.

(4,651 posts)because the choices are few: impeachment and voting out of office. The AG has reminded us ad nauseum that the president can't be indicted while in office.
The only other option is armed insurrection...

(14,118 posts)Of course tRUMP is a threat to national security. The reTHUGS do nothing because they've all signed up as members of the Moscow Mafia and are still counting on tRUMPus/Pootie Poot to deliver on all their dreams for screwing this country and its citizens. Thank goodness we still have the vote and the courts...for now.

He is following orders.

(12,712 posts)Well, yes, but he is a threat to just about everything, so it is all-inclusive. At least, evidence seems to suggest that the impact he has had will break things up and take things down and that effect will reverberate for a long time to come.
He appears to be a benefit only to his vested interests, his businesses, cronies and family.

(15,138 posts)really cared about national security. They TALK about it all the damn time. And I'm sure lots of the rank-and-file GOP voters used to care, and the think-tank/pundit set was probably genuinely concerned a long time ago. But elected Repukes? Never, that I've seen.
Of course, I was not alive when Eisenhower was POTUS. But ever since then, Repukes care a fuck-ton about a) jingoism, b) defense contractor campaign contributions, c) defense spending profiteering, and d) general warmongering in smaller countries populated by brown-skinned non-anglophones, and not at all about actual national defense.
With traitors like The Dotard and Moscow Mitch in party leadership it is just marginally more obvious than with Nixon, Reagan, Bush et al.
