Question on presidential power here

When we win the white house, the President could executive order a BAN on assault weapons (along with close the loophole in gun shows)! With everything RUMP is doing, i'm sure it's possible. (national security reasons) BUT will the courts block it?

1. Yes, the courts would block it.

There were many 9-0 Supreme Court decisions against Obama when he overreached on Executive orders. Congress would have to do the ban.

2. Even after mass shootings?

Claiming domestic terror? The president should have the right to protect it's citizens. Just a thought. Rump does it for STUPID reasons.
