Cruelty as a presidential policy standard

For anyone here who has experienced cruelty as a child, I think I know how you’re feeling right now. It seems impossible to control the tears and the feelings of anger. I feel like pacing, ranting. How on earth can so many people accept Donald Trump’s use of cruelty as a presidential policy standard? Trump has an ice cold heart, dead eyes, a lot of power, and many enablers. Some of you understand how dangerous a combination that is. It’s literally deadly.

We talk about how inhumane Trump’s Child Prison Policy is, how the children need soap and toothbrushes. All that is true, but hardly the most important issue. The Trump administration’s official Child Prison Policy will change these children forever, even if they’re given a million toothbrushes and a tractor trailer full of soap.

These little children do not understand where there parents are, why they’re locked in cages or in a room with people they don’t know. They must feel abandoned and frightened. They must be exhausted. They must be looking all around trying to spot someone who can help.

I’m sick to my stomach right now and I’m telling you that the feeling of not being safe and protected while in the presence of adults who sit by and watch, stays with a child for a very, very long time. These children are changed forever.

Every Democrat in Congress, every Democratic candidate for president should be beating on those doors. They should demand accountability and an end to this government-sanctioned cruelty. We don’t need spin. We don need consultants. We don’t need further study of the situation. We need action and answers....NOW!

Please keep calling, emailing, writing letters to editors. Put a sign in your front yard, a poster in your window. Talk with friends, relatives, co-workers. Contact the media. Tell the politicians in the observation towers there will be no more contributions until someone ends this madness. Put some red-hot heat on those pathetic, soulless Republican members of Congress. Shame them into action....if that is even possible. Please, do something, and if you already have....thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The vast majority of them had family ALREADY LIVING HERE. So why are they being detained in these torture camps for weeks on end? Why aren’t they processed and released to their next of kin?

Is it because the longer they are incarcerated, the more profits are made by the owners of these shelters? If that’s the case, I am sickened and infuriated beyond words.

Every Republican who enables this shit needs to be booted out. The cruelty of this regime is breathtaking.

...most children have family waiting for them, family already settled in U.S. who are ready to care for them at no cost to taxpayers [cirrent cost Is $700 per day per child.] Sge had first hand knowedge of direconditions thst children were being subjected to and was extremely knoelgeable about process. Why cant we have someone like her oversee the heslth and safety of this vulnerable population. I d like for her to provide testimony to congress--this is a crime against children, humanity and must be stopped.

I was never afraid of him. The Orange Asshole scares me to death. There isn't a stronger word I can think of than "despise" to describe Trump, but there should be. The lying and passing of blame to the Democrats, or anyone else he can think of, gets worse and worse. And he's either SO deluded, or half believes what he is spewing every day. Then there's the constant taking of credit for things he has nothing to do with. Come ON, Nancy. Give us at least a little something to cheer us up, no matter how ultimately effective. The 25th Amendment is sorely needed, even if it temporarily gives us Pence, who would never win election on his own (if fair).
