It is primary time. STFU it is our right to support whomever without harrassment and insults. After primary all come together and vote for the nominee. Insults just sabatoges the party. Period!!!!

One benefit of primaries is that they vet the candidates and prepare them to fight in the general. Some candidates rise to the top while others fall in the give and take of the intraparty fight. When that doesn't happen, the eventual general elections candidate is less prepared to take on the real opposition. Remember '08? Hillary fought tooth and nail to take the nomination from Obama. She got pretty darn down and dirty. It was nasty but it made Barack a much better candidate. Would you criticize her for that?

It's practically traditional that you question the motives, logic, past, etc. of your opponent in a primary. It toughens up the eventual nominee for the general election.

then there is no wound. However, if the opponent from the other party has a chance, they will be only too happy to open the wounds.

Get it out ASAP, deal with it, and by the time the general election opponent brings it up, it's old news.

If you really think Biden is racist or sexist get a clue. he may have made a gaffe with the whole "boy" thing but he was just trying to explain that he was working with people who didn't agree with him. I don't see that as a gaffe.

And the only way they can do it is to respond to criticism offered by their opponents.

This will be a key ability in the general.

If they can't take the heat now, and can't defend themselves from criticism from other Democrats, how will they be able to respond to the GOP, media, and trump when an issue comes up once they are the nominee.

better against Trump. Nobody "also rans" like Warren, Castro, Booker, Klobuchar, Harris, and Inslee.

At one point Obama was a 1 percenter, but a hard fought primary let him rise to the top.
