Published 9 mins ago on June 11, 2019
By Eric W. Dolan
President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed to have proof that he had cut a deal with Mexico to stem migration into the United States.
Appearing before reporters on the South Lawn of the White House, Trump pulled out a folded piece of paper and declared thats the agreement that everybody says I dont have.
This is one page of a very long and very good agreement for both Mexico and the United States. Without the tariffs, we would have had nothing, the president added.
But Brian Karem, the White House correspondent for Playboy, noted that Trump never unfolded the paper.

(33,643 posts)Why does it appeared to be SIGNED ... on that very page?
Signatures come at the end of multi-page documents, typically, do they not?

(33,643 posts)but you can see 'On Behalf of the United States' and 'On Behalf of Mexico' (at the left and right respectively) at the top near the fold, and the bottom of the sig from the Mexico representative.
This is clearly barely a 1/2 page document in entirety.

(33,643 posts)Edit: Got it wrong.
Depending on which side your looking from and whether the paper is oriented top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top, each of the 3 sections can be readable verbatim (rightside up and L-to-R) in one of the 4 possible views. Only 1 of the 4 possible views has none of the 3 sections in order and right-side up.
My main point was this is clearly a 1 page 'document', not the first of many pages, otherwise it wouldn't have signatures ... signatures would be at the end of all the pages.

(22,480 posts)of any closeup would include his dark suit. This is like he is holding the paper away from him with a determination of using the grass as a background
Maybe they typed up a paper after people noticed that the one he had was blank and took a picture of it so you can read words on it.

That would have been the first time I would have been legitimately impressed by something Donald Trump has done.
Alas, it was not the case.

(3,290 posts)for the $470,000 he still owes them. I think the next step should be for El Paso to hand it over to a collection agency and let the interminable calls begin.
