Why do Donald Trump's tailors hate him?

That's one thing I just don't get about him. He actually does spend money on clothes -- those suits are bespoke. But somehow he manages to make a bespoke worsted-wool suit look like a $100 polyester piece of crap.

Anyways, the waistcoat at the UK state dinner was just fucking embarrassing. There's zero excuse for that. Does he just not listen to his tailors? Are they trolling him?

1. It could be that he has put on even more weight since the waistcoat was made.

But don't forget that Trump says he is 6'3'' and 230 lbs.

Just like Tom Brady.

and never followed through. You know, you actually have to have functioning brain cells to look at something, determine if it's something you like, and respond to intelligent human beings that 'Yup, that looks nice' or "OMG, did you actually think I'd look good in that?" I'm betting it was the first response, as he was too busy tweeting something from his 'throne' during his 'Executive Time'

Besides, look what they have to work with. It's a near-impossible task.

He's not ordering custom suits and having them professionally tailored to accomodate his rotund shape. He might buy an Armani suit, but he's getting it off the rack or via mail order, as is.

Look at the poor fit of his off the rack suit jackets where they are too small to cover his gigantic girth so he can never close the button. The front of his jackets can't lay smoothly down the front of his body due to his massive gut, so there is this large overhanging drape of fabric floating away from his trousers like sails on a boat.

That's why he resorts to his damned oversized red ties, thinking they disguise his sagging belly. Still on the undersized jackets, next look at how the sleeves are all bunched and wrinkled around his upper arms because the fabric is too tight to hang properly and provide freedom of movement.

He has the same problem with his trousers because he has to have the enormous waist to go around his fat belly, and it leaves excessive fabric drooping over his butt that makes it look like he's wearing a diaper. His saggy pant legs are as wide as theater draperies and usually puddle over the top of his shoes.

Trump is a vain man, but clearly he buys his suits at retail as ready to wear. Trump is a huge fat man, the only way he can get a suit that fits is to pay for custom tailoring. He's too cheap to do that

was embarrassingly wrong. Humiliatingly wrong. Granted in our own lives, who the hell cares, but this is the international stage and he is representing us. He also has no limit on resources to "dress him with even a modicum of decency".

It was abysmal.

And I have a lot less money to spend, but I stand there and listen to my tailor when he does his measurements and gives me suggestions on the colors and the styles that will look better on me.

I don't own a white tie set, but I own a morning suit, which is similar. It looks like he took an existing formal suit and just got a new, bigger waistcoat with it. Which is like all kinds of wrong, sartorially.
