A new poll finds that a strong majority of voters believes that President Trump does not deserve a second term office.
A Monmouth University survey released Wednesday found that only 37 percent of voters believe Trump should be reelected, while 60 percent said they think its time to have someone new in the White House.
Thats the highest percentage of voters saying theyre eager for change since Monmouth first began asking the question in November. The numbers come weeks ahead of Trump's expected official launch for his 2020 reelection campaign.
Trumps approval rating is at 40 percent positive and 52 percent negative. Thats at the low end of his approval ratings for the past 12 months, during which time his positive rating has been from 40 to 44 percent and his negative rating has ranged from 46 to 54 percent.

The more Trump resists Congress and its right to oversight, Voters are going to realize that a Monster resides in the White House and the CORRUPTION that surrounds him will come more into view.
As Rachel Maddow said last night, the walls around Trump are crumbling.

(945 posts)3. These polls are misleading for DEMS...
...because much of the DEM demographic are not allowed to vote. Black voters and young voters are two groups in particular being impacted by voters suppression. Until white DEMS are willing to go into the spaces to empower these marginalized groups, we're going to be in a bit off with the polling numbers.

(7,113 posts)4. Yep. Voter suppression is getting worse, not better...
particularly in certain southern states and others run by GOPers.
Add to that the rampant gerrymandering and emboldened Russian election saboteurs, so it's probably wise to cut these "positive" poll numbers down by half.
We have our work cut out for us.

That's good news.
