(28,829 posts)Impeachment is the constitutional remedy for this president. To put it off indefinitely because of a possibly flawed political calculus is to leave the Democrats looking as dismissive of the Constitution as republicans have proved they are.
We cannot know how it will turn out. The historical record will show who followed the law and who shit on the law.
disclaimer I've been FOR impeachment pretty much since his 1st day in office: that's how long he's been committing impeachable offenses.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
