Oh, irony! A Fox News "Election History Moment"!

Who better to help Americans celebrate our oh-so-representative democracy than the Ministry of Truth ? I was watching a Futurama marathon on WAMY when I was treated to this little tidbit -- on this date in 1920, America held its first election to be reported by radio, and the first in which women could legally participate. The popular voted increased from 18 million to 27 million as a result. This cheerful little bit of nostalgic self-worship was brought to us by the propaganda wing of a party which wants nothing more than to repress the popular vote, and especially the votes of women. How do they maintain their straight faces ?
