(Last August I stumbled on an 1880s beat-but-complete Huckleberry Finn in an antiques mall... $3 on it... and it turned out to be a 1st edition, 1st printing. After the notorious Uncle Silas' penis sabotaged-in-an-illo problem had to be fixed, Twain inspected every one of the 1st/1sts as they were finished, personally and by hand. Three weeks ago I turned it over to an antiquarian book restorer, and when I shared that little bit of Twain significa with her, she hugged the book.)
