They are takers. They are fakers. They don't work for anything and never have. They have only cheated honest workers and the immigrants they hired illegally. It is insanity that there seems to be nothing our Congress can or is willing to do to get rid of the blight on our nation. i love Nancy, but telling or ordering Executive Branch employees to disobey our laws and the courts is just a bridge too far. It is leading our nation into anarchy. Does no one in Congress or in the media see this?

(2,849 posts)...but I think Pelosi knows something so damning that once it comes out she won't have to swim against a tide of resistance to impeachment from the Republicans in Congress or even Trump supporters. Remember when Feinstein and Grassley met with intelligence officials during Trump's first year in office? Do you remember how rattled, crushed--absolutely devastated-- they looked? I can't forget that look. Something bigger than we know must be afoot and Pelosi is waiting until it's the right time to take action. You know it's a lot harder to squoosh a roach while he's hiding in that crack in the wall. You have to wait until he's properly exposed to actually immobilize and remove the threat he poses.

"Our family has been here for centuries and yet they treat us as if we just swam across the Rio Grande. We have to know about John Wayne and Pedro Infante. We have to know about Frank Sinatra and Augustin Lara. We have to know about Oprah and Christina. Anglo Food is too bland and yet when we go to Mexico we get the runs. Now that to me is embarrassing. Japanese Americans, Italian Americans, German Americans, their homeland is on the other side of the ocean. Ours is right next door. And we have to prove to the Mexicans how Mexican we are and we have to prove to the Americans how American we are. We have to be more Mexican than the Mexicans and more American than the Americans. Both at the same time. Its exhausting. Nobody knows how tough it is to be Mexican American."
