A Significant Increase in Military Flights

the last two days. I live near a major Naval Air Force Base and an Air National Guard Base. Normally the War Games are scheduled for regular days and times. The last two days the activities have been constant. Literally day and night. These are large transports along with the usual jets. I've no idea what this means, if anything, just thought I'd share the observation.

they are coming on-line as replacements for the C-5a's Air Guard also. Looks like they are trying to get in training flight time. We also have a Marine tanker-refuling wing do its a bit busy. There was a notice in the paper to expect more flights, perhaps some inter-academy
rivalry

I'm in the approach flightpath to Travis Air Force base, north of you, so I see a lot of different planes. I've never seen a V-22 Ospreys fly by until now. Marine or Air Force, I couldn't tell, but it was cool looking up and seeing one.
