Cohen to GOP lawmakers: "I did the same thing that you're doing now. For ten years. I protected Mr. Trump for ten years." His warning to them: "The more people that follow Mr. Trump -- as I did blindly -- are going to suffer the same consequences that I'm suffering."

(42,862 posts)That was a great line! I loved how he kept making DIRECT, CONSTANT and REPEATED eye contact when he delivered that statement and during his comments about who's lying NOW!

(1,336 posts)I wish Cohen would respond "Why do you believe Donald Trump? He's a proven liar."
Or perhaps he has and I missed it?

(8,200 posts)There was not even one Republican on the committee who showed even the least concern about the fraudulent practices of Trump. What especially stuck me is their failure to show the least amount of concern about Cohen's testimony about the practice of refusing to pay people for the work that they had performed. I know that this was a key element in his first adventure in N.Y. It appears that it was their standard practice.
It didn't seem to bother even one of the Republicans that when Cohen was asked how many times that he was instructed to tell people that they were going to stiff them, he replied hundreds of times and over 500 at least. Trump's book should have been titled Art of the Steal. Just how damn evil are the Republicans who sat there and showed not even an iota of concern for the people that he bilked and bankrupt. I really wonder how any of them could sleep at night and how these so-called loyal Americans could not show any shock at the revelation of such gross evilness. The Republicans can not sink any lower.

(49,144 posts)The Trump-RepubliCon Party is one party.
Voters must be continually reminded of this fact everytime tRump or RepubliCons are discussed.
RepubliCons created him with 40 years of framing language and propaganda TV and hate radio.
They created him, voted for him, cheated for him, enabled him in power, and protect him even today.

There will be a bloodbath in 2020.

Cohen asking for a short break is to recharge and talk with his counsel. He will keep his cool and point out the hypocrisy of the Republicans.

(10,904 posts)Calling the GOP's mindless Trumpster defense out and warning them in a very Rick Wilson way: Keep it up and you'll wind up exactly in the spot I am now.
