David Fahrenthold RetweetedTrump tweeted that he had ordered FEMA to stop giving aid to California disaster victims unless the state changed its forest practices. After a freedom of information request turned up no records, FEMA acknowledged today that it never got any order.

(16,905 posts)Trump thinks that when he says shit like "I've ordered that relief funds for California be revoked"....he knows it's a fucking lie and he knows that he would never do such a thing, but he knows that if he says that he did, his base will eat it up and accept it as fact, this reinforcing their beliefs about Trump.
Maybe that's totally obvious to everyone here, but that's my 2c

In reality the State of California simply lacks the resources to "manage" federal lands in the way that Trump fantasizes about. Somehow I bet that he blames the Puerto Ricans for not "managing" hurricane season better, as well.
