(15,805 posts)It would reshape the priorities of the whole country and give us policies that will actually institute real world, positive changes. A massive rollout on multiple key issues would open the door to innovation and launch whole new fields of R&D, science and aspiring entrepreneurs worldwide.

(26,390 posts)after throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler for not getting the budget he wants and then declaring a National Emergency to get the money I think it's only fair that the next Democrat does the same thing.
For example how about a National Emergency for healthcare and make it so that everybody has Medicare despite what Congress might want.
Followed by of course a national living wage emergency as well as a national tax emergency to increase the taxes on the wealthy and corporations while closing all the loopholes they have been using.

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
