3. There was a fierce storm here in Northern California last night and the beagle

ran out when the front door blew open (it swells when it's really wet). Jake, who's 14 and always been a runner, left the house. I could hear him (faintly) in the woods when I woke up. After cancelling everything for the day and calling the SPCA, I spent four hours on the hill trying to find him. Finally found him trapped in a hole and got him home. He's fine but both of us are muddy and tired.
But I have my valentine. Thank you, whoever.

I am thinking of joining the Canadian Mounties. After all, I always get my man.
