It was a RASMUSSEN poll.Sorry, Donald. That doesn't count as a poll. Asking a Rasmussen poll if a Republican politician is doing a good job is like asking a dog if it's a good idea to stick your nose in other dogs' butts.
The website RCP (Real Clear Politics) keeps a running tally of all the polls, and takes their average. You can see the current running average at the link below. In the right hand column, the NET approval rating for the President is shown. The President's NET approval rating is shown on the right. If more people approve than disapprove, the number if black. If more people disapprove, the number is RED.

Notice anything funny? RASMUSSEN is the ONLY POLL to show a net approval rating for Trump. The AVERAGE of all of them (including Rasmussen) is -11.8.
Notice that Rasmussen is the only poll to give Trump a positive approval rating since NOVEMBER, when (you guessed it) RASMUSSEN gave him another positive rating. In fact, if you take Rasmussen off the list, NO POLLS have given Trump a positive approval rating since February 2018.
Isn't it about time we call Rasmussen out for what it is? Rasmussen is to polling what Fox 'News' is to NEWS. It's NOT a legitimate poling organization, it's a propaganda machine. Their job is to buck up the Republican troops in between elections, by reporting fudged numbers. Generally, Rasmussen polls only become accurate a day or two before an election, so that they can report how closely they predicted the election the day after the election. That's the only thing that gives them even a thin venire of legitimacy.

This is getting silly with them

(63,221 posts)Rasmussen is worthless, but the keep the frenzied base happy. No sane, reasonable person should take them seriously.
Ignore their lies. A majority of the people in this country despise Trump and that number is only going to grow. His approval will never increase.

(14,600 posts)of those they polled, no luck. The best I can find is they survey 500 Likely voters, daily. To reach those without a land line, they use an online survey. Why are they hiding the breakdown of those polled?

(812 posts)At some point, the poll aggregators will have to drop Rasmussen from the averages of give it less weight.

Expect it to trend back down over the next few months.
