Even if he can't be adjudicated in a court of law due to statute of limitations (wtf??), at least before suffering consequences of guilt, shouldn't the accused have some opportunity to face his accuser(s) and clear his name?

For what it's worth, the second accuser claims to have corroborating statements that she told other people what happened at the time. That makes hers a more substantive allegation. But still, he is denying it and calling for an investigation.

Fairfax had no problem claiming Northam released the story about the rape to help Northam.

The second claim is better documented than the first. Although the first is also credible because the woman is credible.

Very few women lie about sexual assault.
But rapists aren't known for being truthful or forthcoming.
