If not already obvious, Rs are coming for Dems with massive ratf*cking of every candidate

When Charlie Pierce says things are going to get ugly - yeah. Things are going to get Virginia/Warren-ugly EVERYWHERE.

Important to remember - conservatives cannot win on the issues. They are desperate to shift the national discussion away from the Green New Deal, marginal tax rates, gun safety, etc. and onto culture war topics and faux hypocritical outrage and whatever else they can scream and shout about on cable news. Eating up news cycle after news cycle. Bewildering voters. Reversing Dem momentum. Depressing voter turnout. Wounding our party and causing all Americans to say "a pox on BOTH your houses." This is how they attack us.

Even today the media is gleefully assisting in a takedown of Amy Klobuchar because she is "mean to her staff." Mean to her staff, allegedly. And they want to take out one of our strong candidates for "mean to staff" when trump is a racist, a rapist.... The media has no intention of playing fair either. The media is going to vet the hell out of our candidates, fed by right-wing sources of propaganda & slander. The media love to look at Dems and wag their fingers and say tsk tsk tsk.

We need a plan for how to deal with this and we need it yesterday. Not just for ourselves. But for the people who are counting on us. Like the Parkland parents. Like the disenfranchised voters of Georgia. Like the victims of the wildfires and hurricanes. A lot is at stake.

NOTE: I am making no comment on what did happen or what should happen in the Virginia cases. I'm just saying, the Rs want chaos and when they get it they win.

"Sweep the leg" is all they know how to do.

Two reading suggestions: It's Time to Fight Dirty by David Faris, and Troll Nation by Amanda Marcotte.

claims, whether true or not. That happened w/ the ME TOO movement, all it took was seemingly one or two false accusations that couldn't be supported and boom, the hot air escaped and everything teetered out of energy.

I haven't really 100% paid attn. to the Virginia issues, it is, after all, Virginia to take care of. I wish them the best of it and hope lives don't get viciously ruined because of false accusations or bribery (those being bribed to make such claims etc.), curious as to why all of a sudden these claims are popping up?

FBI director James Comey told a Senate panel that there was "penetration on the Republican side of the aisle and old Republican National Committee domains" no longer in use. Republicans have previously denied their organizations were hacked.

Comey later added that "there was evidence of hacking directed at state-level organizations, state-level campaigns, and the RNC, but old domains of the RNC, meaning old emails they weren't using. None of that was released."

Comey said there was no sign "that the Trump campaign or the current RNC was successfully hacked."

Asked by Sen. Mark Warner, a Virginia Democrat, whether the hacker had the ability to selectively leak that old information, Comey indicated that they did.

Comey also said that the Russians "got far deeper and wider into the (Democratic National Committee) than the RNC," adding that "similar techniques were used in both cases."

Didn't we ALL learn from Al Franken?

Can people keep things in perspective at all here?

All the ratfuckers have to do is play on Dem herd mentality when it comes
to censure.

Liberal media! No such “monster” exists. And never has. I refuse to fall for their bogus attacks and feigned anger. Their ultimate goal is one party rule.
