Adam Levine:
He added he consulted many people before making the decision to perform amid the controversy over the NFL's handling of players like Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem. "I silenced all the noise and listened to myself and made my decision based upon how I felt."
He says the band is doing the show to make sure people of color and others who don't feel like their voices are being heard understand, "We got you."
He added, "They will be heard that's all I want to say because I don't want to spoil anything."

(25,586 posts)Ive long since ceased to be the target demo for anything musical, if were being honest.
I just think its silly to laud the most white bread thing ever that didnt come out of a Wonder bag because theyre going to make positive noises about Colin Kaepernick.

(8,419 posts)Well actually the wife notices that Sirius XM had somehow gone up to over $450 for four cars. (Kids are in college so I cover them)
Pissed me off so much I canceled even when they offered to cut the charges in half.
I basically just left SiriusXM on the Jam channel or would flip to 90's alternative. (Although the Tom Petty channel occasionally runs some TP led sessions where he picked a lot of old Blues tunes and played them for an hour or two)
So set all the FM channels I could pick up from the SD and LA market, expecting to get the same few Eric Clapton songs, Queen, Pink Floyd and pop hits. First fugging thing was Twilight Zone by Golden Earring. Hell I am hoping I get Money or Another Brick in the Wall at this point. They literally play the same 100 songs on loop across all stations, each one having 15 to 20. I guess the Bastards at Sirius XM may get my money back.
So, I don't expect much from Maroon Five, but if they do something to piss off tRump I wll be laughing my ass off.

(25,586 posts)Even KROQ isnt worth listening to anymore. Im reduced to NPR in the morning and podcasts from my phone the rest of the day. San Diego radio is just out of range for me in Riverside.

Interesting how different are peoples tastes.

(901 posts)Maroon 5 have no taste for real music and that we are oblivious to that music which is considered to be worthy of their attention.

(9,213 posts)and his falsetto, and his guitar playing, and his tattoos. Nobody even knows who the rest of his own band is, and then he brought out the two rap guys, and he managed to make that about him too.
What would have been great is if he had Mick Jagger and Christina Aguilera make a surprise appearance on that one song, and don't they have other guests on their other songs? I'm indifferent to their music...some of it sounds decent, but he needs a lot more humility and appreciation for other artists.
