Rained all night last night and turned into big, fat, fluffy flakes this morning...about 5"
Had a little break in the early afternoon so I could get the stairs shoveled. Then it started back up, colder and smaller flakes and more wind now. So far another 3" maybe after what I shoveled off.
I'm not sure what to expect out of this one. Especially since it is supposed to keep going for a few days. Got hot soup leftovers, oven and gas stove pilot on "manual" if power goes out (god I miss my woodstove!)...and books if I lose wi-fi.
Time for a cocktail and the next round of shoveling!
Stay safe everyone....and DON'T go out in this stuff if you can help it!!!!!

(626 posts)But our 1923 basement has flooded twice now. Coming in through the foundation we guess. Having a sump pump installed. Also second floor ceiling leaking. Can't wait to get this all fixed and then I'll REALLY enjoy the rain.

(11,177 posts)traveling with the family to Grass Valley to visit the grandparents in July. We stopped high in the Sierras so my brother and I could play in the snow. Quite exciting for two kids from south Arkansas. (In my memory, it was Donner Summit but really don't know.)
