The Dough Turd has, according to this article, made clear his refusal to negotiate or compromise. As with his "this will be my shutdown" moment, he takes ownership of the failure before said failure even arrives.

And unreasonable. Hopefully, McConnell allows this to stand as it will cost him his seat and his majority in 2020.

It's in nobody's interest to shut down our government, except Vladimir Putin.

not to spent on a continuous 2000 mile vanity wall. Increase in technology, monitoring, manpower, immigration judges, etc. Modern smart border security not a medieval stupid waste of taxpayer money wall.

Of course he's going to shut it down again and of course he is going to insist that somehow next time it will be the democrats' fault.

He cares shit for trump and is only concerned about a republican majority in the Senate.

Apparently one kick from a mule is not enough for trump. He will not allow it to happen again.

He knows trump now owns any shutdown and they are both owned by Speaker Pelosi.

So Trump is essentially owning the next shutdown, too? He's a fucking idiot. Airline employees should all call out sick the 1st day.
